LIGHTNING RELEASES — WALL STREET COLLECTORS BOURSE IV Thursday, October 23, Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Museum of American Finance, 48 Wall Street, New York
The Wall Street Collectors Bourse IV will take place at the Museum of American Finance in New York (MoAF.org), October 23-25, 2014. Themed “America the Beautiful” this year, the show will host dealers in coins, banknotes, stock and bond certificates, autographs and other financial memorabilia, and include an auction on Saturday morning by Archives International Auctions.
Now in its fourth year, the Wall Street Bourse is an annual mix of numismatic and graphic objects. Since its inception, the show and the museum have made an effort to include outreach to young people and the education of the public. The Museum is admission free for the Bourse weekend, so that attendees can visit the Bourse and see the museum at the same time. The major exhibit, “The Fed at 100,” commemorates the Centennial of the Federal Reserve System. Also, “Alexander Hamilton: Indispensable Founder and Visionary,” celebrates the 225th anniversary of Hamilton’s appointment as America’s first Secretary of the Treasury.
There will be an Archives International Auction on Saturday, October 25th, at 10:30am, in the Museum Gallery. In October 2013, a 1792 US Treasury Bond with the signature of George Washington was the highlight of the sale and sold for $265,500.
Hours: Thursday, October 23rd, 12pm-7pm; Friday, October 24th, 10am-5pm; Saturday, October 25th, 10am-3pm (Auction 10:30am)
