Candidate for Councillor Tanvir Singh Bhupal feels current Councillor Tom Gill has failed the Indo-Canadians on the annual “Vaisakhi Parade”, of not being able to waive the Permit/RCMP fees charged by the City of Surrey. “They sponsor Fusion Festival which attacts only 10,000 visitors, but Vaisakhi Parade is attended by over 80,000 visitors from the Province, if elected I will waive all the Vaisakhi related Fees”, said Bhupal.
Candidate Tanvie Bhupal, Rita Elvins joined Mayoral Vikram Bajwa, to highlight the issue of Sponsorships of the City of Surrey.
