International Surrealism Now’S Next Edition Will Be Hosted in the Historic Building of the 18Th Century Palacio Da Lousã Until Oct. 31, 2014

LIGHTNING RELEASES Lousã, Coimbra, Portugal, 17-10-2014 — International Surrealism Now is a project by the surrealist painter Santiago Ribeiro, who has dedicated himself to promoting the surrealism of the 21st century, through exhibitions worldwide.

The “International Surrealism Now” began in 2010 in Coimbra, when Santiago Ribeiro conceived a major exhibition organized by Bissaya Barreto Foundation. This event has been in Conímbriga celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Monographic Museum (second most visited museum in Portugal). The show has also been in Paris with the support of GAPP – Art Gallery Portugal Presente and Liba WS, organized once again by the Bissaya Barreto Foundation and Santiago Ribeiro, and in Madrid with the support of Yamal Din. After that it went to Dallas with the support of the american surrealist artist Shahla Rosa. Lately it has been presented at the medieval Castle of Paço da Ega, organized by Rede de Bibliotecas and House Mayor of Condeixa-a-Nova and at gallery Vieira Portuesense located in the center of the city of Porto’s second largest city of Portugal.

At present, the “International Surrealism Now” includes artists from 28 countries: Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Spain, USA, Philippines, France, Holland, Indonesia, England, Iran, Iceland , Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, Vietnam.

The exhibition consists of a variety of artworks including drawing, painting, photography, digital art and sculpture.

Former Member of Religious Order Sued for Showing Christian Charity

LIGHTNING RELEASES: NEW YORK (10/14/2014) – Jim “Jimmy” Gonzalez, as Jamie Alistair Gonzalez is known to family, friends, and Jehovah’s Witnesses, in 2010 met with empathy and anguish the sufferings of a friend in need and was moved to show compassion by standing behind Cody McCart as he made difficult choices in his life – for which Gonzalez was sued by a third party.

Cody McCart, known with the stage name of Cody Kyler, decided to find relief from a series of difficulties and pressures he met as an actor in the adult industry. The decision proved difficult, as he needed emotional and professional support to move from being a live-in adult actor with Flava Works, Inc. to an independent young adult on the streets of Chicago.

McCart sought help from The Center on Halsted’s Gay Youth Center and the Youth Futures - The Law Project of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, and later other professionals, to receive assistance in his separation and difficult rehabilitation to a completely different lifestyle to the one he had grown encumbered by, not knowing the way out.

Flava Works, Inc., the group he was associated with, and its owner Phillip Bleicher began a campaign of harassment, not only to McCart, but also to Gonzalez, claiming damages, as McCart was purportedly breaking conditions of formal agreements which supposedly prevented him from leaving an industry he no longer wanted to be associated with, whether for the time being, or for the rest of his life.

In a perplexing move, Flava Works, Inc. and Phillip Bleicher chose to sue Gonzalez, a friend of McCart’s, who has spent a lifetime in Christian Ministry, even having served as a duly appointed ordained minister under a legal vow of poverty and obedience for onwards of eight years, as a member of a religious order whose requirements are conditioned upon high moral standards, placing principles of service, self-sacrifice, and helping those in need, above all other things, as a way of life.

Following a series of underhanded moves of intimidation, menacing, and harassment, Bleicher and Flava Works, Inc. presented a case to a judge, or series of judges, in Cook County of Illinois, forcing a judgment against Gonzalez for close to half a million dollars – all for having helped out someone who was in need of relief from unimaginable personal pressures related to being a part of the adult entertainment industry.

Our First Amendment rights of Freedom of Religion, Clergyman-Communicant Privilege, Freedom of the Press, and the overbearing unabashed rights to privacy and to self- determination found therein, should protect all people, all the time, in this land of ours, and, ideally, everywhere in the world!

LifeForce International Most Visited Booth at Primary Care Today 2014

SIMPLEPR 10/14/14 — For the second year, LifeForce International’s booth at the Primary Care Today show in Toronto drew in massive crowds, as doctors and other primary care workers took advantage of the free pain and truncal adiposity reduction clinics at the LifeForce booth.

“This is absolutely our favorite way to prove to physicians that this technology works” said LifeForce CEO Giselle Briden. “Even though these devices are all FDA and Health Canada-cleared to deliver these astounding results, physicians really need to experience them firsthand in order for the proven science to be more than just an intellectual experiences. Nothing is more powerful than seeing your waist decrease an inch in 40 minutes” Experience them they did, with LifeForce clinicians on site treating over 70 primary care workers for pain and fat loss.

Giselle Briden explained that the seemingly impossible results seen at Primary Care Today, measurable inch-loss from the waist, hips, thighs and arms in just 40 minutes, are typical of the results seen by the average patient. “The level-1 FDA clinical trials that proved the ML-Scanner’s safety and efficacy demonstrated an average of 5 inches of fat loss across the waist, hips, thighs and arms within two weeks, but we typically see measurable fat loss after just one 40 minute treatment.”

Over the course of the show, the LifeForce team removed a total of almost 70 inches of fat from the people they treated, though not everybody who enjoyed a low level laser treatment was trying to slim down. LifeForce also ran a pain reduction clinic using the XLR8 laser for pain.

CTI of Columbia New Cancer Drug Combination Treatment

Cancer Treatment Institute of Colombia Demonstrates Unprecedented Results Using Unique Cancer Drug Combination of 3-Bromopyruvate and Salinomycin for Treatment of Multiple Types of Cancer

LIGHTNING RELEASES: BOGOTA, Colombia (9/29/2014) – Cancer Treatment Institute of Colombia has announced a promising new drug treatment: a carefully formulated, first-of-its-kind combination of salinomycin and 3-bromopyruvate (3-BrPA) that has already proven successful at treating multiple types of cancer. The team of medical researchers behind this novel treatment are optimistic that it could significantly improve outcomes for many patients who have exhausted current therapeutic avenues.

“These two drugs are exceptional on their own, but it’s their combination that’s proving to be instrumental,” explained Dr. Jason Williams, part of the team overseeing the current project. “Salinomycin and 3-bromopyruvate work together to disable the cancer cell’s energy production and reduce the proportion of cancer stem cells. Our initial work with human subjects has been more successful than we could have imagined.”

The published case study details the success of the salinomycin and 3-BrPA combination approach in treating a 66-year-old male with extensive stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). Though sensitive to traditional chemotherapy, SCLC has a distressingly high rate of recurrence. At that point, the cancer often becomes more resistant to all therapies and rapidly spreads to the brain and other organs. Survival rates for ES-SCLC hover at around 2%, and researchers have made no significant progress against the disease in many years.

With masses in both lungs and a depressed platelet count, the prognosis for the patient was poor; he had previously undergone standard chemoradiotherapy, but the cancer returned within three months. His attending physician recommended against additional treatments. At Cancer Treatment Institute of Colombia, the patient received 21 total rounds of salinomycin and 3-BrPA, delivered on alternating days. Chest CT scans four weeks later confirmed the total disappearance of SCLC. Just as encouraging was that the patient experience no significant adverse reactions during his treatment.

The cancer-fighting properties of 3-BrPA have been recognized since 2004, when Dr. Young Ko published a journal article describing how the compound eradicated cancer in all of her study animals. A patent rights dispute between Dr. Ko and Johns Hopkins University stalled further development of the drug for some time. 3-BrPA’s mechanism of action includes the ability to block energy production in cancer cells, resulting in cell death. Meanwhile, the drug is relatively non-toxic to healthy cells.

Salinomycin belongs to the antibiotic class of drugs, but recent studies have demonstrated that it effectively targets and kills cancer stem cells as well. Oncology researchers believe the stem cell holds the key to defeating cancer, but the capability to reliably kill the stem cell has remained difficult to achieve. Research on mice produced outstanding results – salinomycin destroyed breast cancer stem cells at least 100 times more effectively than the standard chemotherapy drug paclitaxel.

Dr. Williams summarized the hopes of the research team: “We are tired of seeing the same cancer treatments yielding the same unacceptable results. For the good of humanity, we must allow patients who have no other options to try the most promising new drugs and techniques. Patients with advanced cancers like ES-SCLC simply can’t wait seven years for possible FDA approval.”

Joining Dr. Williams in Bogota is Dr. Mark Rosenberg of the U.S. and Dr. Leonardo Gonzalez of Colombia. They plan to continue testing the new drug combination therapy with eligible patients, while also developing new treatments and tumor vaccines.

If you like your grandmothered plan, you might be able to keep it

While Obamacare critics revive charges that the law is causing health plan cancellations,

a majority of states are actually allowing those with grandmothered plans to renew them

LIGHTNING RELEASES: LAKEVILLE, MN (10/3/2014) – If you’ve been holding on to an health insurance plan that’s not compliant with the new health reform law – and you want to keep it – there’s a decent chance you can re-enroll in the same coverage during the next open enrollment period (November 15-February 15).

That’s the conclusion of healthinsurance.org contributor and health insurance expert Louise Norris, who conducted a state-by-state survey of insurance commissioners this fall. Norris, who’s written extensively about the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance marketplaces, found that the majority of states – 35 of the 50 – will allow policy holders with grandmothered plans to renew them again if their insurance carriers continue to offer the plans.

In a repeat of last year’s outcry over anticipated health plan cancellations, policy holders are again being whipped into a frenzy this fall, says Norris. But the attention is overblown, she says – especially in light of her research and her latest healthinsurance.org report, Like your grandmothered health plan?

Grandmothered – or transitional – plans are policies that aren’t grandfathered but were effective prior to 2014. (Grandfathered plans are allowed to remain in force indefinitely, without having to become fully compliant with the ACA, as long as they aren’t changed to substantially cut benefits or increase costs for policy holders.) Although most of Obamacare’s regulations don’t apply to grandfathered plans, grandmothered plans do have to adhere to some additional provisions of the health law, Norris writes.

Last fall, the Department of Health & Human Services announced a transitional relief program under which states and carriers could allow non-grandfathered individual and small-group policies to renew at the end of 2013 and remain in force until late 2014. In March, HHS extended the program, allowing grandmothered plans to renew up until October 1, 2016 and remain in force as late as September 30, 2017.

Under the transitional relief program, the final call on renewing grandmothered plans is up to the states and carriers. Thirty-five states ultimately decided to allow grandmothered plans to renew again at least into 2015. Carriers in those states have the option of renewing or cancelling their grandmothered plans, so not all grandmothered plans in those states will be available for renewal again this fall. But a lot of them will.
