Modi Mission 272 Jinxed with US Afghanistan Withdrawal, Vikram Bajwa Indian Overseas Congress

Washington DC. Michael Jenkins. President Obama has ordered the Pentagon to begin formally preparing for a complete withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, by the end of this year, has implications on the foreign policy of United States, Canada, England, Pakistan, India, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Iraq.

Pakistan Foreign Affairs has declared “the zero option means a civil war in Afghanistan”, speaking on condition of anonymity.

There has been a debate generated by think tanks in Washington DC, as to the Post scenario of Muslim Republic of Afghanistan, after US and NATO withdrawal, which will dominate the meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels.

India Research and Policy Centre, in U.S., with inputs from various Foreign ministers, of the Asian countries, are convinced it will have impacts in Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia and Iran. The Center for Media and Security in Washington D.C. has termed the departure of US Forces would likely create “mayhem”, in Kabul, country, which could ultimately prompt one-third of Afghan security forces to desert their posts in the Army and police, impacting stability in Pakistan and India.

Obama has left the door open, for President Hamid Karzai’s successor, to be chosen in National Elections in April, to sign the pact, which coincides with the Lok Sabha Elections in India. According to reports, in the US and Canadian Media, BJP led by Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s, party will be heavily effected by US-Afghanistan agreement of peacekeeping. India’s UPA Government headed by Dr. Manmohan Singh, all along has supported NATO forces, maintaining cordial relations with Afghanistan, which are in the process of change in Kabul and Islamabad, due to the foreign policy spoken by BJP leaders and Modi. Karzai, Islamabad, Beijing are very skeptical of BJP forming the next Government in New Delhi, which could escalate a ‘war of words”, in India’s Elections and the minority fears, could backlash on India’s democratic values.

Indian Overseas Congress President Vikram Bajwa, strongly feels, “its time for Modi to go to Kabul and Islamabad, after his inflammable speeches as guardian of India”. FIIA Chairman Chandrakant Patel, fears a backlash in India, after US Withdrawal in Afghanistan, “Modi moves are jeopardizing hard won gains in India’s fabric, since Independence, his BJP Mission 272 is jinxed”.

Washington and Ottawa Think tanks are closely monitoring the India Elections and it’s verbatim, to comply with the New World order, maintaining peace in India, which has become a question, with Modi’s Presidential style campaign for the BJP, remarked Dr. Adam Stewart, of Boston School of Politics.

Artist Sandra K. Jackoboice to be Featured on Close-Up Talk Radio

LIGHTNING RELEASES: Naples, FL (2/19/2014)– The renowned French impressionist Claude Monet once said, “I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers.”

Sandra K. Jackoboice is a Florida-based artist and painter specializing primarily in pastel and water-based media. While accomplished in landscape and portraiture, Jackoboice is perhaps best known for her floral work, which expresses form and color but also a unique personality and substance.

“I don’t like to think of myself as a traditional floral artist; that implies a simply decorative motivation behind the work. I choose flowers because they are complex, strong yet subtle and possess a quiet drama,” says Jackoboice. “To be able to make a painting of a flower that has the feeling of a pedal comes quite naturally to me.”

Jackoboice was first inspired to pursue art by her father, a commercial artist. She received her degree in art and communication from Aquinas College, upon which she served as art program director for the Franciscan Life Process Center in Lowell, MI. Jackoboice has remained active as an artist and educator throughout her career, co-founding both the Great Lakes Pastel Society as well as the Southwest Florida Pastel Society.

“A lot of people think of pastels as chalk, but they’re not chalk,” explains Jackoboice. “They’re pure pigment bound together with water and rolled into sticks. I became interested in them in college. I liked the way pastels looked and I admired other artists who had used pastels like Monet.”

According to Jackoboice, some people prefer not to buy pastel paintings because they don’t like the reflection of the glass enclosure; they would rather have something on canvas. In 2004, Jackoboice experimented with a process that allows artists to use pastel on canvas, employing a liquid acrylic spray between layers of pastel to hold and set it, as well as a fixative that protects the painting.

“I came up with that process so people could enjoy working with pastels without the glass enclosure,” says Jackoboice. “My hope is it will encourage more people to appreciate art made with pastels.”

Jackoboice says she typically paints from photographs of her travels with her late husband, but, she adds, aspiring artists should focus on choosing subject matter that is fun and inspirational, something they’ll enjoy for a long time.

“There’s no particular formula to know how it’s supposed to look when you finish. It’s a feeling,” says Jackoboice. “You just need a positive attitude and a subject matter you’re excited about.”

Cathy Roberts LCSW to be Featured on Close-Up Talk Radio

LIGHTNING RELEASES 02/06/14 – Montclair, NJ – A recent study reported that the incidence of physical abuse among alcoholics is three times the national average and that female alcoholics are eight times more likely to have a history of sexual abuse than non-alcoholics. Indeed people with a history of abuse will often turn to drugs and alcohol to self-medicate only to be trapped in the cycle of addiction.

Cathy Roberts is a New Jersey-based licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist who works primarily with addicts, alcoholics and their families. Roberts understands firsthand the challenges of addiction; her mother struggled with alcoholism and Roberts herself is a recovering addict and alcoholic. She found therapy tremendously helpful in dealing with her own addiction and in understanding her family. This experience would inspire her to join the mental health profession to help others suffering under the weight of their addiction.

“There’s so much shame involved with addiction,” says Roberts. “For someone to know they’re talking to someone who’s been there, who understands and doesn’t judge them I think is helpful.”

According to Roberts, each of us develops a belief system about ourselves and about the world. Many times these beliefs can be self-defeating. Roberts’ goal in therapy is to help her clients identify those beliefs, understand where they came from, and challenge them. It’s a process of making people aware.

“I try to understand the main obstacles preventing them from tapping into the resources that they already have,” says Roberts. “It’s a combination of healing past traumas in addition to providing guidance in how to do things differently in the present.

“It sounds clinical, but we want to reprogram those self-defeating messages which keep them stuck,” adds Roberts. “You want to change their thinking so that healthy behaviors come more naturally.”

Roberts says her goal first and foremost is to create a safe and supportive environment where the client can feel comfortable discussing issues that can be very painful.

“When you grow up with an alcoholic parent you become really skilled at reading the emotional temperature of your environment,” says Roberts. “Those were difficult circumstances to grow up in, but it gave me compassion for people living with addiction as well as the addicts themselves. I respect how much courage this takes.”
