AlgoRates.com Programer Shares Insight Into Highly Profitable Fund

LONDON, UK – An Algorates.com programer has recently revealed one of the computerized methods incorporated into their trading robots, which the Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch has named the, “most profitable trading robots in the market today.”

During the past several years, AlgoRates.com has successfully employed its sophisticated algorithmic trading software with remarkable success. Recently, the Boston Globe (Business, Markets) reported that, “AlgoRates.com… correctly predicted [Gold's] price decline and by January 2013, the fund had sold the majority of their gold holdings prior to this year’s downturn.” (Boston Globe, boston.com, Business, Markets, August 02, 2013)

While the details involved in AlgoRates’ algorithmic programs remain a highly guarded secret, “one methodology we can talk about is called Technical Analysis,” explains Alex McLaren, an assistant programer at AlgoRates.com in the United Kingdom. “In essence, it is a methodology for the forecasting of future prices according to past data and trends in the marketplace.”

With Technical Analysis, computer systems and analysts search through thousands of bits of data and charts for what is often referred to as a “trend”. When they find a trend, it must be validated by additional technical indicators. Some indicators measure the strength of the trend, giving insight into how strong buyers/sellers are in the market. “Assisted by complex algorithmic programs and very powerful processing capabilities developed by our specialists during the past decade, we incorporate Technical Analysis in our daily work as we search for trends in the forex, stocks and commodity markets,” says McLaren.

“When our system spots a chart pattern in the currency markets, like a triangle or a ‘head and shoulders’, we follow it in order to validate it and then act. The big move occurs when the pattern is broken, namely when a very important resistance or support line in the pattern is breached.”

According to McLaren, this happened last May. “Since mid-2012 until May 2013, the AUD/USD had traded within a range mostly between 1.0175 and 1.0575. According to Technical Analysis, when a range is broken, a move of at least equal to the range itself is about to follow. When this rectangular looking range was broken last May, the AUD/USD plummeted even fifty percent more than the range within 20 days.”

Indeed, after a short corrective move, the AUD/USD continued in a downward trend, smashing multiple support positions. Having predicted this move in early May, AlgoRates.com sold the Australian currency and recorded significant profits for their customers.

While they are not the only fund to employ Technical Analysis to predict market movements, AlgoRates.com’s sophisticated computer processing capabilities managed by a highly experienced brokerage staff has given them a significant edge, making them one of the most consistently profitable funds of the past year.

Technical analysis is based on three main assumptions: 1. all known relevant information in the market is already priced in; 2. prices move in trends; 3. history tends to repeat itself.

History repeats itself, in the main, because human nature does not change. The former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill once noted that the further one looks into the past, the further one can see into the future. Traders are often motivated by greed and buy stocks which they feel are undervalued or will soon rally and gain in value. They sell stocks, currencies or other assets sometimes quickly or irrationally when they fear that they might have made a mistake or the rally has reached its end.

In order for Technical Analysis to be most effective, all information known in the market should already be priced into the market. According to McLaren, “the larger the pool of investors, the more accurate is the prediction since the fundamental market data is known to a greater number of people.” The most liquid and traded market in the world is the currency market, and therefore, McLaren believes that Technical Analysis has the greatest potential for successful implementation in this market.

The Five Biggest Mistakes Made When Hiring an Okaloosa County Criminal Defense Lawyer

PRESS RELEASE (8/25/2013)- Whether located in Crestview, Fort Walton Beach or Destin, Florida criminal defense lawyers have busy law firms. Yet, many are not following the steps needed to properly represent you. Here are the five biggest mistakes consumers make when hiring a Florida DUI & criminal defense lawyer:

1) Not learning about criminal law legal procedure.

This is a critical mistake for several reasons. Your lawyer should be able to explain each step of what will happen to you next. Many consumers retain legal counsel only to end up calling, emailing and meeting endlessly because the process is never explained by the legal team. The “not knowing” can be extremely stressful. Criminal prosecution is extremely dangerous for the person arrested, and both client and loved ones suffer far more when unprepared for the delays and uncertainty of the criminal justice system.

Tip: Your lawyer should provide written materials, videos, and emotional support materials for you and your loved ones. You need to understand each step of the legal process, provide written documentation about what happened, dress precisely for any and all court appearances, and manage your stress according to a proven stress management program.

2) The truth most do not want to hear: your legal counselor is not your emotional counselor.

Pareto’s law, often called the 80/20 Rule, should always be kept in mind: 80% of what lawyers do only produces about 20% of the result in a legal matter. Why are criminal defense lawyers so notoriously unproductive? Client hand-holding.

Many clients continue to surf the Internet, email daily, call constantly and have an unrealistic belief that lots of attorney-client contact will keep them informed and, thus, reduce stress. However, this simply is not true. Weeks or even months will pass before your DUI or criminal defense lawyer can provide certainty regarding every aspect of your case, from plea offers to defenses.

As a result, most DUI and criminal defense clients (and especially their family members) become frustrated and begin to externalize blame rather than take effective measures to control their own personal psychology.

Your lawyer cares, but you need a hard-nosed strategist, not chat buddy. DUI & criminal defense cases are extremely serious, and the lawyers who handle them are trained to be deeply analytical and emotionally detached.

The best DUI & criminal defense lawyers are aware of their client’s emotional needs and some have even created programs for clients and their families.

Tip: Find out if the law firm has a system for dealing with the stress of criminal prosecution, and examine it carefully. Very few have detailed stress reduction systems, and you are going to need one. Everyone needs their hand to be held occasionally – just make sure your lawyer isn’t the one holding your hand.

3) You hire a solitary jack-of-all-trades rather than a specialist, who knows how to build high quality legal defense teams.

The medical profession uses medical teams, and the best lawyers and law firms use legal teams to get the best possible result for you. Moreover, many states, like Florida, have a certification program administered by the state bar association. The Florida Bar has two (2) specialization programs in criminal law: criminal trial law and criminal appellate law. However, many people Google for a Florida DUI specialist, but there is no specialization program for Florida DUI law.

However, regardless of the type of criminal law case you have, a team-building criminal law specialist is more familiar with the Rules of Criminal Procedure, the case law, fact patterns, as well as dangers and pitfalls, a less experienced attorney might miss.

Tip: Hire an attorney who is criminal law specialist who only practices criminal law, or one who has a practice which is eighty (80) percent criminal defense law or more. Better, hire one with experience leading and building high quality legal teams with actual trial experience.

4) Delay.

Problems do not get better over time, and, in criminal cases, delay can mean the difference between a negotiated dismissal and a record that will be with you forever. Worse, many people get sentenced to imprisonment each day in Florida solely because they tried to handle a criminal case DIY. The only time you should even consider a “Do It Yourself” approach is if you are comfortable with an unexpected jail sentence. There is a reason we call it “Courthouse Surprise.”

Tip: Here is a simple rule of thumb regarding whether you need to hire a lawyer to defend you in Florida: can you legally be sentenced to imprisonment? If your paperwork has a court date and the possibility of jail or prison time for your charge, hire an attorney immediately.

5) Price-based shopping and monthly payment plans.

Criminal defense attorneys expect to be paid up front, except in unusual circumstances involving extremely high legal fees (over $25,000.00).

Yet many attempt to negotiate lower fees or monthly payment plans. Everyone wants a good deal, but if you succeed, this is a warning flag for two reasons.

First, if your DUI or criminal defense lawyer cannot stand up and say “no” to a lay person, do you think they can stand up to the prosecutor? Not at all.

Second, clients who “fee dicker” have lower in-house Client Ratings. Remember, just as you are rating potential attorneys, most law firms have much more experience rating prospective clients. A lower Client Rating means less time and attention to your case.

Why? Lawyers hate both payment plans and “fee shoppers.” When accepting a reduced fee or payment plan case, the lawyer will have to work longer and harder to make up for the reduction in fee or delay in payment. There is only so much time in a day, and additional “free” initial consultation mean less time available for existing clients. Specifically, the ones who owe money or paid a reduced fee.

Tip: Pay your legal fee up front and you will always go to the front of your criminal defense lawyer’s mind.

2013 Austin Film Festival Announces Its First Wave of Films Including World Premieres and Special Retrospective Series First Wave of Films Include Nebraska; Coffee, Kill Boss; Innocence; and The Odd Way Home

PRESS RELEASE: Austin, TX – August 19, 2013 — Austin Film Festival (AFF) proudly announces the first ten films in the 2013 lineup. This year’s lineup includes world premieres, features and documentaries, foreign films, and local filmmakers. AFF’s executive director, Barbara Morgan says “As the Festival that honors the writer, we are thrilled to continue a program that boasts strong narrative work, eclectic world premieres and retrospectives presented by some of the industry’s top filmmakers during this momentous 20th Anniversary.”

The 2013 Festival will include a special retrospective series of films presented by Panelists, showcasing films that have inspired their own work. One retrospective film track: “Out of the Vault: Jonathan Demme” will include films selected by the 2013 Extraordinary Contribution to Filmmaking award recipient and Academy Award® winning director, Jonathan Demme, including a work in progress of his latest film, Fear of Falling, written by Wallace Shawn — an adaptation of the Henrik Ibsen play ‘The Master Builder’ based on the story of an architect increasingly caught up in his own fantasies.

Additional retrospectives include: Vince Gilligan, creator of Breaking Bad, and AFF’s 2013 Outstanding Television Writer award recipient, presenting William Friedkin’s classic crime thriller The French Connection, written by Ernest Tidyman. Shane Black, writer and director of Iron Man 3 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, will present Morrie Ryskind’s screwball comedy, My Man Godfrey. Jim Taylor, long-time collaborator of Alexander Payne and writer of Sideways, About Schmidt and Citizen Ruth, will host a screening of Election, his 1999 screenplay following a high school student election that is taken to the extreme. Norman Steinberg will show the revolutionary comedy that he co-wrote with Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor, Blazing Saddles.

Other Festival highlights include:

Nebraska, written by Bob Nelson and directed by Alexander Payne. After receiving a sweepstakes letter in the mail, a cantankerous father (Bruce Dern) thinks he’s struck it rich, and wrangles his son (Will Forte) into taking a road trip to claim the fortune. Shot in black and white across four states, Nebraska tells the stories of family life in the heartland of America.

Coffee, Kill Boss (World Premiere), the first feature film from director Nathan Marshall, follows ten executives who secretly meet to sell off their company but instead become victims of an outrageous murder scheme. The script, written by Sigurd Ueland — a 2010 Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition Semifinalist — is a dark comic romp through the halls of corporate America.

Innocence (World Premiere), written and directed by Hilary Brougher (director, Stephanie Daley), produced by Christine Vachone (Bluebird, Boys Don’t Cry), follows a young woman who discovers that her elite private school harbors a dark secret. This suspenseful horror film, based on Jane Medelsohn’s 2000 novel, explores themes of loss, love, and the supernatural. Innocence will screen as a part of AFF’s Dark Matters Category.

The Odd Way Home (World Premiere), directed by Rajeev Nirmalakhandan, co-written by Nirmalakhandan and Jason Ronstadt, and produced by Peter Touche. The film follows Maya (Rumer Willis), the product of a neglected childhood, and Duncan (Chris Marquette), a slave to his obsessions of order and pattern, as they journey through the American Southwest, finding happiness in the unlikeliest of places.

Siren (North American Premiere), Television writer Jesse Peyronel’s feature script directorial debut. Starring Vinessa Shaw (3:10 to Yuma, The Hills Have Eyes) and Rob Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Siren is a dark fairytale about a woman with an unusual curse: an alluring scent. She is irresistible to every man she meets, but when confronted with a man immune to her power, she is presented with the possibility of real love.

Speak Now (World Premiere), directed by Noah Harald and written by Erin Cardillo, Speak Now is a Romantic Dramedy following high school friends reuniting for a wedding. Old offenses and newly mounting scandal plunge the group back into a pool of high-school drama. Entirely improvised from an outline and character studies, the whole feature was shot in three days. Speak Now will screen as part of Austin Film Festival’s new WRITE/REC Series, focusing on the best in low-budget storytelling.

Take Away One (World Premiere), the first feature film written and directed by seasoned tv editor William Lorton (Face Off, Bridezillas), this documentary film follows Lorton’s aunt, Mary Baratta- Lorton, and her mysterious unsolved murder. Mary, in her short 38 years, rose from obscurity to become one of the most famous teachers in the US. Personally inept with math, yet placed as a UC Berkeley student-teacher in one of the roughest inner-city classrooms of the San Francisco Bay Area – Mary’s intuitive strategy of teaching arithmetic with hands-on manipulative materials quickly blossomed into a nation-wide career as an author, lecturer, and movement leader.

Mom, Dad, I’m Muslim, (US Premiere), a documentary film, written and directed by Anat Tel Mendelovich and distributed by Seventh Art Releasing, examines the trials of May Davidovich, a 22- year old devout Muslim searching for equilibrium between her belief in Islam and her parents’devotion to Judaism. The religious conflict between May and her parents makes for a fascinating case study on the balance between pursuing spiritual fulfillment and inherent family expectations.

Sombras de Azul, (World Premiere), the Spanish-language feature film debut of local Austin writer/director, Kelly Daniela Norris, who re-imagines her own experience of bereavement following the death of her brother by weaving together real memory and personal reflection through the sights and sounds of Cuba.

These films can be seen at the 20th Anniversary Austin Film Festival and Conference taking place from October 24th to 31st, 2013. Badges and Passes are available for purchase online 24 hours a day at austinfilmfestival.com or by phone at 1-800-310-FEST from 10am to 6pm CST.

The story of Atticus, the teen cat, is already available in bookstores, but the electronic versions of volumes one through three will be available on the Apple Store.

Although meant largely for a younger audience, Zaay said, “The book targets children from 9 to 12 years old, but will appeal to anyone who likes picture books and good storytelling.”

“I think Atticus is growing just like everyone out there. He has many flaws and imperfections, and I’m hoping for the young readers to relate to it for the simple fact that we don’t always know everything and it takes perseverance to know what you can be good at.”

About The Adventures of Awesome Cat

Atticus, also known as 8, is anything but awesome and desperately wants to impress his friends. His quest for acceptance among the group is put on hold when his motorcycle crashes in a fairground. It’s there that he finds his lost dog, Boris, just as a portal opens. Cats from another galaxy grab Atticus to claim the power of his supernatural hands. A pretty cat by the name of Anabelle saves him so he can meet Norg, the Rockkeeper, for advice. Norg explains his hands hold the power to save the universe. Reluctant to fulfill the destiny described, he instead only wants to find his missing father. Time is running out while the Red Cat’s army, controlled by Lord Vastfear, destroys stars and threatens the Ruby Fortress inside the Diamond Planet. While strange beings try to convince Atticus that he indeed does hold great power, Norg, Boris and Anabelle fight to stave off the universe’s demise.
